Life Origin produce quality insect protein and oil from black soldier fly larvae. Utilising and formulating selected organic trace-able waste from the industry as feed to the larvae, the process is sustainable and generates positive impact to the environment by reducing waste to the landfill. This solution creates a closed loop zero waste process where the excretion or frass are left over that can become organic fertiliser for plants growth and soil improvement. We had further collected data through smart farming sensors and successfully improved our farming process. These data will be analyse as well for further implementation of automation and traceability system for scalability growth and quality assurance. As a result, we are now producing a more stable nutritious product and yield of the defatted insect meal and oil that is better for market position and policy adaptability.
